THE FAQs
YOU ASKED. WE ANSWERED.
01.
What does a consultation include
The consultation process includes reviewing aesthetic and health goals, as well as future events you may be getting ready for to establish a timeline. We will discuss current skincare routines, health and lifestyle status, and commitment to your care. We will then review recommendations for treatments and modifications to lifestyle habits to help you achieve your goals.
02.
What age should I start treatments:
I am a firm believer in preventative aesthetic medicine. While not everyone is a candidate for injectables, starting proper medical grade skincare should be started in your teens and early twenties.
03.
How can I prevent bruising
Bruising happens. However there are things you can do to mitigate this from happening. These include stopping fish oils, aspirin or ibuprofens 1-2 weeks prior to injections (please discuss with your health care provider prior to doing so). Please avoid consuming alcohol 24-48 hours prior to your injections. Taking Anica supplements, eating fresh pineapple, and consuming adequate protein can help reduce the risk of bruising.
04.
Can I work out after my injections
It is recommended to not exercise for at least 24-48 hours post injections, however it is best to discuss this with your provider.
05.
How often do I need to get my dermal filler redone
There is no timeline to get retreated with dermal filler. Research using ultrasound is finding that dermal filler is lasting longer than previously thought. Therefore a consultation is needed prior to any dermal filler treatment to make sure you are a great candidate and prevent unnecessary treatments.
06.
How often do I need to get my tox retreated
This depends on the tox you were previously dosed with. Botox and Dysport last on average of 3-4 months. Daxxify lasts about 4-6 months. However, variables such as activity level, metabolism, diet, supplementation, and heat exposure all influence the rate of metabolism of your tox.
07.
How often should I receive a skin treatment
This depends on your skin concerns, goals, and outcomes you are trying to achieve. SkinPen can be done as often as monthly, and should be done at least quarterly. Lasers are often best completed in a series, with quarterly or yearly maintenance, depending on the laser used. The results from lasers are best maintained by using the top of the line medical grade skincare, such as ZO Skin Health.
